Mission Service – Partnerships for Greater Impact

At RiverTree, we know that we don’t have all the answers or all the talent in the world. We also know that the work of God to renew our communities, cities, and world is way too big for us to accomplish on our own. Therefore, we partner with others who are on the same mission to be the hands and feet of God in our communities and to love our neighbors. On this page, you’ll find information about those partnerships and ways that you can get involved.

Global Partners

Amor Ministries – Mexico

In March of 1980, Scott and Gayla Congdon founded Amor Ministries to build houses in Mexico, so families could be reunited with their children.  Today, over 300 mission groups take part in short-term Mission trips to build homes in Mexico, as well as South Africa.  Amor is compelled to share the love of Jesus with families by meeting tangible needs that help keep them together.  They do this by providing homes, food, clothing, backpacks filled with school supplies, Christmas presents, winter relief items like blankets and coats, and water filters for clean water.  They believe in partnering with local pastors that live and serve in the communities where they build.  After a family receives a home, the local pastors will continue to build relationships with the families by sharing the love of Jesus with them.  Come Build Hope.  For additional information about the next Build Trip,

Comfort Foundation – Russia

Since 1998, the Russia Christian staff of the Comfort Foundation (CF) have spiritually and emotionally supported orphans and underprivileged children in the Vologda Oblast of northern Russia.  Pouring hope into the lives of these outcast of Russia is at the heart of this ministry. RiverTree provides financial support and sends teams to come alongside the CF staff for a week of VBS-like camp with the children.  The next team is forming for a June 2021 trip.  For additional information contact Paul Schroeder at pschroe2@swbell.net.

When the Saints – Africa

When the Saints (WTS) envisions a Malawi (Africa) that is free from sexual exploitation and ruled by the transforming love of Jesus.  Through discipleship and encounters with truth, men are set free from the shame of oppression and empowered with healing and purity.  Through discipleship, counseling and career training, women are set free to heal and provide for themselves with dignity.  We support WTS as they seek to build a culture and economy for the Malawians that is fueled by freedom and truth.  For additional information contact David Peterka at dmpeterka@gmail.com or https://whenthesaints.com/contact.

Missionaries

Andy & Irida Morisseau – Macedonia

Andy and Irida and their two small sons live in Stuga, Macedonia.  They are ministering to the Albanian Muslim population of over 500,000 people, through Converge Ministries.  Irida became an RN with the long-term goal on spreading the love of Jesus in her home country of Macedonia through nursing.  Andy working through the Peace Corp in Albania, felt called to return to Macedonia as a missionary to teach and church plant. Their goals are to establish the first Albanian speaking evangelical church in Macedonia, train future church leaders to multiply the ministry and serve the community with mercy ministries aimed at the medical and education needs of the population.  There are no known Albanian speaking churches in Macedonia and the population has largely been overlooked by missionaries, relief agencies and the Macedonian government. For additional information contact Jesse at jkisman@rivertreecc.org

Todd& Julie Hendry – Brazil

The Hendry family is working through Avant Ministries to plant New Testament, Bible-based churches in the least reached areas of the world.  Todd and Julie are planting a church in Croatá, Brazil.  Their goal is to evangelize and to make disciples, as Jesus commanded in The Great Commission of Matthew 28.  Their desire is to have a church that continues this mission in reaching neighboring communities.  In Brazil, it is important to have a building for worship; otherwise, the community doesn’t trust you to stay; so, they recently purchased land and have begun to build.  They are currently, organizing trips for volunteers to assist them in building their new church.  For additional information contact Cris Heffernan at cheff@mobilelearn.com.
